HOW WE GOT HERE

We didn’t build this from a boardroom.
We built it from a broken fleet.

Binny was founded in 2018 by Igor Salgues — not because he saw a gap in a market research report, but because he watched shared-mobility operators make the same mistake in city after city: outsourcing field operations to generalist staffing agencies who didn’t understand what a cold thermal case at 03:00 actually costs in lost morning rides.

The math was simple and brutal. A vehicle that doesn’t swap overnight doesn’t deploy at 07:00. A vehicle that doesn’t deploy at 07:00 doesn’t generate revenue. A fleet running at 74% uptime instead of 92% doesn’t just underperform — it bleeds cash quietly, across every line of your P&L, until you’re in a difficult conversation with your board.

We started in Norway. One market, one crew, one contract. We proved that a specialist 3PL partner — one who hires in-market, logs every swap, and owns the SLA — could do what a generalist agency never could: show up consistently and make the numbers move. Then Stockholm. Then Copenhagen. Then Berlin and Lisbon.

Each expansion taught us something a platform can’t: that field operations in shared mobility are hyper-local. What works in Oslo doesn’t automatically work in Munich. Language, permit timelines, crew culture, municipal response expectations — they’re different in every city. So every time we entered a market, we hired someone who had already operated a shared fleet there.

Today we operate across five EU markets with a team who have, collectively, thousands of hours of overnight shift experience. We have no sales team. We have no slide deck. We have an ops call and a one-page diagnostic — because operators who know their numbers don’t need a presentation. They need answers.

WHO RUNS IT

We don’t hire out of agency backgrounds.
We hire people who have carried a pager at 03:00.

That line is our actual hiring policy. Every country manager who joins Binny has operated a shared-mobility fleet before they joined us. Not managed a logistics team generically — operated scooters and bikes, in cities, overnight, with the pressure of a municipal SLA breathing down their neck.

That means when your Stockholm uptime drops on a Tuesday and you need an answer by Thursday, your country manager isn’t escalating to a regional director who escalates to a VP who pulls a report. They’re already on the street with the answer.

Igor Salgues
Founder & CEO · Oslo

Igor built Binny because he believed the only way to run shared-mobility field ops reliably was to build a team that would never outsource accountability. Seven years later: five markets, zero missed SLA reports. He takes the first ops call with every new operator personally.

Hashim Khawaja
Country Manager · Sweden & Denmark

Hashim manages field operations across Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Copenhagen, and Aarhus. He was in shared mobility before Binny. He knows what a 240-vehicle no-pair Monday looks like from the inside — which is why he built the checklists that prevent it happening twice.

The one thing that tells you everything about us.

Every new operator gets a 30-minute call with a country manager — not a sales rep. We read your last 30 days of ride and swap data before we get on the call. You leave with a one-page diagnostic of exactly what’s broken and how we’d fix it.

No deck. No follow-up sequence. No nurture emails. If the diagnostic is useful, you’ll call us back.

How we price.

Blended: base fee for fixed investment (crew, warehouse, vans), variable fee per operation or per-deploy, bonus/penalty tied to agreed uptime SLA. If you lose rides, we lose margin. Structure is worked out on the audit call, not on a brochure.
